Creating art is a trek into the unknown. Where you begin is often not where you end up. Starting with words you feel passionate about, you will use the Elements of Design* as stepping-stones and the Principles of Design** as your guiding vision to make calligraphic works of art. Exercises include choosing your color palette, working with contrasts, and creating depth in your pieces. You will gain insight into critiquing your own work, seeing if your intentions were met, determining if your piece works, and facing the eternal question, "Is it finished?" There is no way around the curves and obstacles on the path; they are part of the creative journey. In this workshop you will explore navigating the road, trusting your intuition, and accessing the confidence you need to take the next step in unleashing your expressive powers.
