From Paris to Peet’s
not knowing where we’ve been
Lost in the gaze,
with each other with our grin.
Could this be the start
of what we both would wish?
I checked in with my spirit.
She said, “Go forth as if it is.”
I try to contain myself
excitement, keep in check,
Relax, discharge, take it in,
be present for the rest.
